The inspiration for this rug is the not-quite-pattern in the way leaves and petals fall and scatter on the ground in my garden. I think of memories and dreams similarly shed and scattering around us, mostly not quite orderly or sensible, but sometimes illuminating, as here, like a bright full moon. I was also drawn (yet again) to the challenge of weaving a circle in this pixilated, rectangular medium of weaving.
